Lines of residents wanting to get vaccine shots in the four mega sites are expected to ease up once district and satellite vaccination areas open.
These additional vaccination sites aim to boost vaccination efforts along with the existing four megasites, mobile vaccination where vaccinators go to home-based senior citizens and persons with disability, and fast lanes.
Assistant City Health Services Officer Celia Flor Brillantes said residents of barangays Atok Trail, Loakan, Irisan, Atab, Mines View, and Pacdal, which are located farthest from the megasites, will benefit from these additional vaccination areas.
Multi-media approaches and SMS reminders from the Information Technology Department are expected to boost the information campaign.
For Atok Trail and Loakan, the Philippine Export Zone Authority offered their area as vaccination site and the Divine Mercy Church area shall be sanitized for use of those from Atab.
The city is awaiting permission from City Schools Division Superintendent for the use of of Elpidio Quirino Elementary School at Irisan.
Satellite vaccination venues such as the Baguio City Police Office and the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office were used on June 25, 29, and 30; with the Rillera building at the city public market, which was earlier used as registration site for vaccinees, marked for the same purpose.
The University of the Cordilleras High School shall be used for vaccinees from the City Camp area; Loakan airport as drive-through vaccination site for drivers; and the Baguio City National High School for teachers.
The Baguio Country Club site will also serve their workers, pony boys, and small store owners within the vicinity.
The vaccination action team composed of personnel from the City Mayor’s Office, Health Services Office, MITD, Barangay Affairs Office, Public Order and Safety Division, 911 on-Call, and CDRRMO will facilitate and coordinate with concerned offices for the opening of these sites.     
Trainings for personnel, information technology, and post-vaccination private physicians for district and satellite vaccination are being prepared.
Vaccinees are advised to register at the bakuna.baguio.gov.ph. Those with co-morbidity should prepare a medical certificates, barangay certificate, employment certificate, certificate for 4Ps, and identification documents. – Julie G. Fianza
