Fees collected from Baguio residents securing civil registry documents will increase once the city’s Tax Ordinance is amended.
The city council has approved on first reading the proposed ordinance amending Section 24 of Ordinance 2000-001, or the city’s Tax Ordinance.
The ordinance authored by Vice Mayor Faustino A. Olowan and councilors Benny Bomogao, Lilia Fariñas, Arthur Alad-iw, and Levy Lloyd Orcales cited the need to adjust the rates charged by the Local Civil Registry Office.
The proposed fees are P80 for certificate of birth, marriage, or death while fees for certified true copy and other certifications is P60 per page.
Fees for late registration that are beyond 30 days but less than a year is P100 while late registration that are beyond one year is P200.
For marriage application and processing, the proposed fee is P220 while requests for security documents is P150.
Requests for supplemental report will be charged P220; memorandum circular 2010-04, P150; and electronic endorsement for clearer or negative copy, P160.
Service fee for petitions for change of first name (CFN) under Republic Act 9048 is P3,000; correction of clerical error (CCE) is P1,000 while service fee for migrant petitioner for CFN is P1,000 and CCE is P500.
The proposed fees for registration of legal instruments, legitimation, acknowledgement, emancipation of minor, election of Philippine citizenship, loss of Filipino citizenship, registration of affidavit of re-appearance and repatriation is P200 and registration of court decrees or decisions, adoption, naturalization, legal separation, guardianship, judicial determination of paternity filiation, and civil interdiction among other papers is P400. – PIO release
