The body in Resolution 094, s. 022 has urged the Baguio City Police Office, the Public Order and Safety Division, and the deputized Anti-road obstruction enforcers to give 10 minutes leeway to all delivery riders in Baguio to deliver orders or finish their errands so that they will not be charged for illegal parking or obstruction.
The action is in response to the appeal of delivery riders for a considerable parking time to avoid and not to repeat their experience of being charged for illegal parking or obstruction for momentarily parking their motor vehicles to hand or pick-up orders of their customers/clients as being caught would affect their records and reduce their daily hard-earned earnings for paying the penalties.
The resolution reminded the concerned offices and riders of the provisions of the traffic code that place where the delivery rider momentarily parked their motorcycle, whether for pickup or delivery, shall not obstruct traffic flow and not in a place expressly prohibited for parking by a “no parking” sign.
Through Resolution 097, s. 2022, the body supported the request of the Federation of Ifugao Brethren (FIB) to the city mayor for the use of the Ibaloi Heritage Garden, in coordination with the Onjon Ni Ivadoy Association, Inc. and the stage at Burnham Park for the celebration of “Ifugao Day.”
The upcoming Ifugao Day, which was declared in Resolution 171, s. 2019as part of the city’s annual activity every last Saturday of April in Baguio will be observed with the theme:“Gotad Di Ipugao ad Baguio” on April 30.
The resolution is also a way of sincere appreciation and recognition of the talents and gifts of the Ifugao’s that were imprinted in every corner of the city as shown by the wood carvings, apparel and other souvenir items offered to local and foreign tourists.
The Federation of Ifugao Organizations Outside the Province, a duly registered national organization, aims to help unite and support all Ifugao’s living outside Ifugao.
