The Schools Division Office of Ifugao has expressed its sincerest appreciation to the Cordillera Golfers Foundation, Inc. (CGFI) for allocating P300,000 to help in the construction of a public school building.

The SDO Ifugao, which is under the Department of Education-Cordillera, reported that a two-story two-classroom building is currently under construction at Lucban Elementary School in Lamut town.

THANKFUL — The Ifugao Schools Division Office has thanked the Cordillera Golfers Foundation, Inc. for donating P300,000 and the Department of Education-Cordillera for another P100,000 to complete a school building at Lucban Elementary School in Lamut, Ifugao. — SDO Ifugao

It reported that aside from the CGFI fund support, the school also received P150,000 additional fund from DepEd-Cordillera headed by Director Estela Cariño.

The SDO Ifugao reported its Physical Facilities Unit continues to monitor the ongoing construction to ensure the work is done correctly and meets the required standards.

“This helps maintain the overall qua-lity of the building and reduces the risk of structural issues and safety hazards,” it reported.

It said its partnership with the private sector such as the CGFI will continue to provide high quality education to the learners.

“This will serve as a lasting reminder of your generosity and commitment to education,” it added.

The CGFI, in its 2023 yearend report, informed its benefactors that it has already reached out to seven of the eight SDOs of DepEd-Cordillera.

From the P2.4 million funds it has allocated from the proceeds of its maiden tournament in May 2023, CGFI has helped in the construction of school buildings in Kimpit ES in Amlimay, Buguias, Benguet; Mainit National High School in Bontoc, Mountain Province and Lucban ES in Lamut; donated high-end tablets for SPED Bontoc; dona-ted high-end laptops to the SDOs of Tabuk City, Kalinga, and Abra; and donated Starlink kits to SDO of Kalinga.

CGFI is also set to donate Starlink satellites to the SDO Apayao soon.
