The Bontoc Mountain Marathon presented by the Philippine Trail Running Association (Philtra) will assemble many of the country’s top trail runners who will compete in the elite division of the marathon covering 42-kilometers and 25K on Feb. 25 and 26 in Bontoc, Mountain Province.

Both divisions will be part of the Philtra championship.

Those who will not be invited in the elite division may participate in the open division of 42K and 25K with registration fees of P3,500 and P2,500, respectively.

The 12K division will also have the under-20 and open category. The under-20 will be by invitation only, limited to young runners from Mountain Province, which is part of Philtra’s grassroots program in search for talents at an early age.

Registration fee for the 12K open category is at P1,500 while registration for the kiddie run is P600.

With support from the municipality of Bontoc, Tawid Marathon, and Race Yaya, among other partners, the event is expected to inspire young trail runners to aspire to become part of the national development training of Philtra.
