It’s all systems go for the National Export Week (NEW) 2023.

Co-organized by the Department of Trade and Industry Export Marketing Bureau, the Export Development Council, and the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc., the industry gathering from Dec. 1 to 7 offers valuable insights for and from stakeholders through the various discussions, networking opportunities and business matching.

The NEW 2023 theme centers on developing the Philippines as an agile export powerhouse. It aligns with the Philippine Export Development Plan 2023-2028 objectives, envisioning the export industry as an agile powerhouse led by key sectors.

The plan includes priorities and strategies for the industry to quickly adapt to global market challenges and opportunities, aiming for global recognition with characteristics like reliability, design-driven approach, and sustainability.

The week-long celebration will feature thematic sessions and fora on various export-related topics, business-to-business matching activities, bazaar and exhibitions, export-enablers, e-commerce platforms, and export service providers.

One highlight of these activities is the “Usapang Exports”, a series of information sessions under the Philippine Export Competitiveness Program designed to empower existing and aspiring exporters with productivity and innovation tools and market trend updates to help develop and increase their competitiveness and global market readiness.

Capping the week-long event is the National Export Congress to be held on Dec. 7. It will feature government and private sector initiatives to support exporters, including the Exporters’ Night where awardees will be cited based on specific contributions to the growth of the export industry.
