The Government Service and Insurance System-Baguio has resumed operations but at a reduced work schedule in compliance with the measures mandated by the government amidst the coronavirus disease-2019 (Covid-19) crisis.

SSS Baguio Branch Manager Quintin S. Banez in an advisory said that the agency is open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon only.

“While service delivery is of paramount importance, GSIS Baguio is bound to observe measures to help control the spread of Covid-19 and to ensure the safety of the clients as well as its frontline personnel. Therefore, we shall strictly implement a minimized or no-contact policy transaction,” he stated.

Payments of GSIS premiums and loans amortizations could be done through banks or at the GSIS office by appointment.

Requests for insurance premium quotations may be done through e-mail or through drop boxes.

Filing and processing of non-life insurance claims, including service billing from shop and casa and reporting of new claim shall be done through e-mail.

Releasing of letter of authority/letter offer will be on appointment basis (through e-mail and phone call).  The submission of claim documents is through e-mail.

Requests for authentication of certificate of cover must be sent through e-mail.

The release of UMID Enrolment and UMID Card will also be by appointment to be coordinated through the Agency Authorized Officer and GSIS.

For pensioner transactions particularly Annual Pensioners Information Revalidation (APIR), visit the GWAPS KIOSK or send requirements through email.

GSIS President and General Manager Rolando Ledesma Macasaet said that old-age and survivorship pensioners born in March, April, and May can do their APIR until June 30.

For pension loan, pensioner’s emergency loan, pension resumption, and unpaid pension due to late APIR, send requirements through e mail.

For consolidated loan, emergency loan, and policy loan of active members, apply through GWAPS kiosk/ e-mail/eGSISmo.

For filing of claims benefits for retirement/disability, separation, compulsory life insurance, optional life insurance, funeral, survivorship, pre-need, and employee’s compensation, download requirements at www.gsis.gov.ph.  And send requirements through email as advance copy only. Original documents are still required and may be filed at the drop box of GSIS.

Check releasing is by appointment, as scheduled by GSIS.
