LAGAWE, Ifugao – A two-story school building with four classrooms will soon rise at the Kalanguya National High School (KNHS) in Tinoc through the Adopt-A-School Program (ASP). 

The Department of Education- Ifugao, Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC), KNHS, Barangay Wangwang, and the 54th Infantry Battalion and Alfa-Alfa Construction signed a memorandum of agreement on Dec. 20, 2023.

The DepEd will provide the building specifications and coordinate with PAFCPIC, Barangay Wangwang, and KNHS and other related obligations contained in the MOA.

The PAFCPIC will shoulder the labor and cost of materials amounting to P16.6 million, execute a deed of donation in favor of the KNHS, submit to the DepEd all pertinent documents, and render periodic assessment of the project as deemed necessary.

The barangay and the community of Wangwang shall execute laws and ordinances applicable in the school for the safety of the donated project, provide DepEd with monitoring and inventory reports and information, and undertake other duties and responsibilities. 

The 54th IB shall also provide assistance in the labor and ensure safety and security of individuals, while the Alfa-Alfa Construction will have to complete the building in 365 days.

KNHS is in charge of maintaining the building and inventory of the donated books in the DepEd Partnership Database System.
