TINOC, Ifugao – The Ifugao Police Provincial Mobile Force Company (IPMFC) continues to strengthen community partnership through outreach activities in far-flung areas.
Through its “Pulis Ko, Concern sa Sitio Ko” program, personnel of the IPMFC and Special Action Force (SAF) recently conducted a two-day outreach activity at barangays Tukukan and Tulludan in Tinoc.
The groups reached out to 60 beneficiaries who were given assorted groceries, medicines, and hygiene kits to address some of their needs.
An information drive on anti-terrorism and illegal drugs was also conducted to raise the residents’ awareness on the negative impacts of insurgency and drugs.
“This activity strongly adheres to the main objective to end insurgency in conflict-affected barangays in the province. This is also to strengthen and develop strong relationship between the police and the community,” the IPMFC said in a statement.
The SAGIP-LAHI Class of 2017-01 assigned to the IPMFC also provided assistance to three individuals in Aguinaldo and Mayoyao, as part of their fourth year anniversary celebration.
Members of the class produced P30,000 from their salaries to fund the needed resources for the outreach activity.
The group helped Peter Nangleg, 55, and a resident of Manaot, Monggayang, Aguinaldo who lost everything to a fire. He also received a box of groceries and a bag of used clothes donated by the Rouser Group of the Philippines-Ifugao.
Two individuals with visual impairment and another suffering from a mental illness from Mapawoy also received assorted groceries and basic hygiene kits under the “Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko” program of the Philippine National Police.
