ITOGON, Benguet – Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Inc. (CLFI), the social responsibility arm of Cebuana Lhuillier, has embarked on a transformative journey of community building in partnership with the Municipality of Itogon, Benguet.

Through a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony on March 22, CLFI and Itogon municipality reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering sustainable growth and prosperity within the community.

COMMUNITY BUILDING PARTNERSHIP — The municipality of Itogon, Benguet has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Cebuana Lhuillier Foundation Inc. At the heart of the collaborative effort lies a collective vision for a future where every individual has access to financial inclusion and empowerment. By focusing on community development initiatives centered on financial literacy and inclusion, CLFI and Itogon aim to equip residents with the knowledge and resources necessary to navigate their financial futures successfully.

Jean Henri Lhuillier, president and chief executive officer of Cebuana Lhuillier, emphasized the significance of collaborating with the municipality to ensure targeted and impactful assistance to the community.

Through strategic interventions and targeted programs, CLFI and Itogon aspire to create an environment where individuals are empowered to make informed financial decisions and chart their path towards economic stability. The MOU signing also served as a celebration of local culture and traditions, showcasing the rich heritage of the people of Itogon.

CLFI and PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies employees, alongside Itogon constituents, participated in cultural performances, symbolizing a shared commitment to collaboration and shared goals.

Leading CLFI’s delegation were Executive Director Jonathan D. Batangan, PCR Department Head Rhodora M. Gella, and PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies Chief Administrative Officer Jo-Ann Y. Tacorda.

Itogon Mayor Bernard S. Waclin graced the occasion.

In addition to community-building efforts, CLFI enhanced educational opportunities by providing ICT equipment and free ProtectMax Insurance to Alternative Learning System learners donated by Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Brokers.
