Lakay Mountain Bikers Club has conducted another outreach program and delivered school supplies and learning materials to three schools located in secluded areas in Kapangan, Benguet recently.

On day one, the club, together with team Nitro, turned over educational toys and coloring books for eight learners of Bokloan Day Care Center with teacher Teresita Caday receiving the items in behalf of the learners.

The groups also donated through Manuel Martin a TV set for the 61 learners of Bokloan Elementary School.

Nitro Cordillera Mountain Bikers has donated the TV set as part of the proceeds from the 5th Nitro Mountain Bike Challenge held on Dec. 12, 2021. 

The following day, the LMBC led by its president Joel Paredes with Team Pine delivered the donations at the two cluster schools of Balakbak Elementary School. 

The Beleng-Belis Barrio School through Alma Peping received school supplies such as pad papers, ballpens, pencils,  and erasers for 32 pupils, while Tawang Barrio School through Teacher 1 Marjorie B. Montes received rain coats, rain boots, bags, drinking bottles, and lunch box for the 22 pupils. 

Most of the funds were donations from members, friends, groups, and private entities who support the endeavor of the team in uplifting the morale of learners from the secluded areas of Benguet. – LMBC release
