LT signs sisterhood ties with Cabanglasan, Bukidnon
The local government of La Trinidad, Benguet and Cabanglasan in Bukidnon forged sisterhood ties to promote understanding and friendship and work towards peace and sustainable development for both municipalities.
La Trinidad led by Mayor Romeo Salda and Vice Mayor Roderick Awingan and Cabanglasan Mayor Renante Inocando and Vice Mayor Lolita Obsioma-Bullecer signed a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of cooperation agreement relationship between their municipalities.
Both municipalities desire to strengthen ties of friendship through exchanges in agricultural technology, culture and arts, tourism, planning and rural development, commerce/trade and industry, education and sports development, environmental protection to confront climate change and promote disaster risk reduction, public health and social services, among other of common concern.
The MOU noted both municipalities have the same attributes on cultural and economic aspects, where each entity enjoys a vibrant multi-ethnic population with rich cultural traditions.
The signing was made on May 30 at the La Trinidad Municipal Hall and was witnessed by local officials and delegates by both local government units. The ceremony was highlighted by with the exchange of tokens and gifts from each local government units. – Press release
