A minor was among the four regional high-value targets of the government’s war on drugs, who were arrested by elements of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency recently.

The minor, identified only as Juan, was arrested in a buy-bust operation where three sealed transparent shabu worth more than P19,000 were seized from him, including the P1,000 buy-bust money and a cellular phone, according to RDEU Chief, Lt/Col. Nachor Baucas.

The minor was arrested on Sept. 28 at Purok 16, Irisan, Baguio City after weeks of surveillance by RDEU team led by Lt. Franklin Jay Aquisio.

RDEU operatives led by Lt. Christopher Tudias together with agents of the PDEA-CAR also arrested a 30-year-old female drug dealer during a buy-bust at Purok 6, Asin Road, Baguio City.

Government operatives seized from the female suspect a plastic sachet containing shabu worth P34,000, the buy-bust money, and two cellular phones.

The operatives also recovered from a cabinet a sachet of shabu worth more than P500 and drug paraphernalia.

On Sept. 14, a team led by Aquisio in coordination with PDEA-CAR conducted a buy-bust in Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet that led to the arrest of Jan Michael de Guzman Dipasupil, 33.

Confiscated from the suspect was a sachet of shabu worth more than P13,000 plus the buy-bust money and P2,400 cash.

Tudias and PDEA agents also arrested a 59-year-old female in a buy-bust operation at Bakakeng Norte, Baguio City on Aug. 29.

Seized from the suspect was a plastic sachet containing shabu worth P34,000, the P1,000 buy-bust money, and a mobile phone.
