BANGUED, Abra – The Revenue District Office (RDO) of Bangued, Abra reported that its Online and Registration Update System (ORUS) has made a significant impact for the easier transaction of clients to their office.

BIR-Abra Client Support Section Chief Karen Zales Beleno said since its launching in November 2023, the number of clients who are physically transacting in their office decreased.

She explained how the ORUS made simple the transactions of taxpayers with the BIR.

“Through the ORUS, mabalin tayon mangala ti taxpayer identification number online, ken mabalin payen ti business registration. So kadagiti business owners, saandan a masapul ti umay ditoy opisina gapuenta mabalinen online,” Beleno said.

When ORUS was introduced in Abra, Beleno said taxpayers were pleased that accessing the BIR’s services has been made easier. They only need a mobile phone and a connectivity to access the ORUS at the official website of BIR.

BIR reported there were more than 1,500 ORUS registrations in Abra  last month, and is expected to increase this year. – Christian Alister G. Tubadeza
