TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The city government of Tabuk received P10 million assistance from the Department of Health for the establishment of a super health center in Barangay Agbannawag.

Lilia Rose Say-awen of DOH-Cordillera said the provision of the facility is part of government’s program of providing primary health care in the countryside.

The community-based health care center offers basic health services including birthing, diagnostic (laboratory), pharmacy, and dental services at the local level.

Mayor Darwin C. Estranero said the project would help address the health needs of people in the service area.

Aside from the P10M, the city government is set to receive P5M  worth of health equipment plus P5M for the operation of the molecular laboratory.

The city government previously received funding assistance from the national government for Covid-19 temporary treatment facility and molecular laboratory. – Larry Lopez
