ONE Championship, the biggest media sports property and mixed martial arts promotion in Asia, has signed Jeremy Pacatiw, adding to the list of Team Lakay fighters in the promotion.

Team Lakay Chair Mark Sangiao has confirmed the fighting pride of Kapangan, Benguet is the latest fighter to see action in the ONE circle in the future.

The 25-year-old Pacatiw has opted not to pursue his fighting career in Brave Combat Federation last year after having fought 11 bouts in the Bahrain-based MMA promotion since 2016.

Pacatiw has followed former Brave CF bantamweight champion Stephen Loman, who earlier opted not to renew his contract with the other promotion to pave the way for his legal transfer to ONE Championship.

Pacatiw has defeated some of the formidable fighters in Brave CF such as former title contender Felipe Efrain, whom he stopped via technical knockout in December 2019. That was his last fight in the promotion.

Pacatiw said it has been his dream to fight alongside famous Team Lakay fighters under the same promotion.

If Pacatiw will maintain his weight class, he will be added in the stacked bantamweight division currently reigned by long-time champion Bibiano Fernandes of Brazil.

Former two-time champion Kevin Belingon along with Loman is in the same division.

Pacatiw said he is willing to take on whoever ONE gives him in his debut and definitely not from Team Lakay.

Before signing contract with ONE, Pacatiw has not been slowing down in his training even during this pandemic. – Harley F. Palangchao
