BONTOC, Mountain Province – Members of the Pag-Ibig Fund and the public are being encouraged to avail of the services of the agency.

Aimed at bringing its services closer to the people, the Pag-Ibig Fund Service Desk located at the Municipal Tourism Office, first floor of the Bontoc Municipal Capitol, had its opening and benediction on May 5.

Two Pag-Ibig Fund personnel will cater to the clients availing of its services, except the acceptance of payments. It is open from Monday to Friday, except during holidays.

Pag-Ibig Fund Vice President Member Services Operations-Luzon Group Lilia Anguluan expressed gratitude to the municipal government under the leadership of Mayor Franklin Odsey for providing space to Pag-Ibig Fund free of charge.

Anguluan said the Pag- Ibig Fund Service Desk will cater to clients from Mountain Province and those from nearby provinces.

Mervin Pereda, Pag-Ibig Fund area head of Ilocos Region and Baguio branches, along with the Branch Head Corina Joyce Balanon-Calaguin of Pag-Ibig Fund-Baguio, joined Anguluan in extending their gratitude to the LGU.

Vice Mayor Eusebio Kabluyen who represented Odsey during the occasion said the presence of Pag- Ibig Service Desk in Bontoc is a welcome development as it will bring government services closer to the people.

Also present during the occasion are Pag-Ibig Fund Marketing and Sales Head Philip Raymund Salem, Land Bank of the Philippines-Bontoc Manager Genaro Dumpayan, Mountain Province General Comprehensive High School Principal Atkinson Tudlong, Municipal Legal Officer Seichi Ofo-ob, Human Resource Management Officer Arleen Eickmee Gasmeña, municipal employees, personnel of Pag-IBIG Fund, and staff from the Provincial Human Resource Management Office.

Among the services offered by the Pag-Ibig Fund are membership and savings programs, regular savings, housing loan, home equity appreciation loan (heal), short-term loans, multi-purpose loans, calamity loans, and savings claim (Regular and MP2 Savings). – Alpine Killa-Malwagay
