
A Baguio-based businessman and philanthropist has been elected vice president of the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCII) Luzon.
Fernando S. Tiong, took his oath in Malacanang before President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., last June 7.
Tiong, who has made great contributions in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in Baguio and Benguet, was former vice president of the Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce Baguio chapter and former president of the Association for Philippine China Understanding (APCU) Baguio chapter.
He is also a director of the APCU national board and vice president for APCU for Northern Luzon.
In his message, the President has called for a renewed alliance between the government and the FFCCCII, recognizing the federation’s crucial role in economic development and national progress.
The President also highlighted the need for a strong partnership in revitalizing and transforming the economy during this critical period.
He assured the federation of the government’s continuous support and commitment to addressing concerns of the business sector and improving the Ease of Doing Business Act. – Press release
