LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The leadership of the Police Regional Office Cordillera welcomed the appointment of Lt./Gen. Archie Gamboa as chief the Philippine National Police.
PRO-Cor Director B/Gen. Israel Ephraim Dickson said it is high time to have a full-time chief PNP and Gamboa is very much qualified for the position.
“I know him well because he was my former boss when he was the chief of the Directorial Staff at Camp Crame,” Dickson said. “As professionals in the police force, we continue to give our full support. This will also end speculations as to who should be the CPNP,” he added.
President Rodrigo Duterte swore-in Gamboa as the new PNP chief last Jan. 20. He is the 23rd chief of the PNP.
Prior to his appointment, the four-star general who belongs to Philippine Military Academy “Sinagtala” Class of 1986, served as PNP officer in charge for three months following the retirement of PNP chief Oscar Albayalde.
