A record-breaking 33 flower-bedecked floats wowed thousands of spectators gathered at the main thoroughfares of Baguio City on Feb. 25, aside from million viewers watching the livestream coverage of the float parade of the Panagbenga Festival 2024.

With the theme “Celebrating traditions, embracing innovation”, the annual Baguio Flower Festival has proven once again it is one of the biggest and sought-after festivals in the Philippines.

In fact, the Panagbenga is arguably the template of other festivals that now feature floats to highlight their festivities.

The floats of the city government of Baguio and Department of Tourism ushered in the parade together with hall of famers Baguio Country Club and SM City Baguio.

Aside from three small floats, joining the medium float category were Bingo Plus, Commission on Elections, KFC Philippines, Mang Inasal, Palawan Pawnshop, Paragon Hotel and Suites, Procter & Gamble/Youthopia Activation Specialist Inc., Fresh N’ Famous Foods Inc.-Chowking, Unilever Phils. Inc.-Knorr, Unilever Phils Inc.-Sunsilk, Unilever Phils. Inc.-Surf Fabric Conditioner, Unilever Phils. Inc.-Surf Powder, and Zaparita’s Garden.

Joining the large float category were Bases Conversion and Development Authority- John Hay Management Corp., Binggrae-Caper Consumer Business Innovation Inc., Glamorouso Urdaneta City, GMA7 Kapuso/ “Walang Matigas na Pulis sa Matinik na Misis”, Golden Arches Corp.-McDonald’s Philippines, International Pharmaceutical Inc. (IPI), Jollibee Foods Corp., National Authority for Child Care (NACC)-Regional Authority for Childcare-Cordillera, Nongshim-Caper Consumer Business Innovation Inc., Pangasinan Solid North Transit Inc., Regasco, SCD-Eevor Skincare Depot, and the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority.
