City offices will be inspection anytime by the Baguio City Police Office and Bureau of Fire Protection for their compliance with the use of the “safety seal” program – a voluntary certification scheme on business establishments that affirms that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health protocols.
Safety Seal Team chair for the local government, Permits and Licensing Division head Allan Abayao said the move is pursuant to the joint memorandum circulars of the departments of the Interior and Local Government, Labor and Employment, Health, Tourism and Trade and Industry, which also mandate government offices to use contact tracing tools such as the Stay Safe app, manual contact tracing tool, thermal scanner, isolation area for symptomatic employees, deploy Barangay Health Emergency Response Team and emergency hotlines in conspicuous areas, installation of handwashing stations with soap, hand drying equipment or supplies for clients, or employees, physical barriers in enclosed areas to maintain physical distance, proper ventilation, compliance to disinfection protocol, or cleaning and disinfection as control measure against Covid-19, regular disinfection in the establishment, mandatory use of face masks and shields specially in enclosed places, established referral system for medical and psychosocial services, designation of safety officer for coordination and referral to isolation facilities, implementation of return to work policies, and storage facility for proper collection, treatment and disposal of used facemasks and other infectious wastes. – Julie G.
