Sitel Group®, a global leader in end-to-end customer experience (CX) products and solutions, hosted a free five-day training program for job seekers in Baguio and Benguet.
The training courses were conceptualized and hosted under Sitel® Philippines’ Sitel Academy-University and Community Partnership Program (UCP) and made available to participants in the region.
Sitel Academy, through its UCP program, launched several community-building and outreach initiatives.
Among them are the Sitel Academy Barangay Amazing Race (BAR) and the Blistt Circuit (BC) training programs launched last May.
The BAR and BC programs are intensive five-day training courses for job seekers in the region.
The courses offer important upskilling modules such as communication skills, conference building, tech training, and many more.
The programs aim to equip the participants with the essential skills they need to work at Sitel Group and in the business process outsourcing industry.
Participants in the job training sessions included job seekers from Baguio and five from La Trinidad, Itogon, Sablan, Tuba, and Tublay.
Many of the participants are new graduates who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic.
“We have had a lot of youth participants in these programs,” shared Sheryll Trajano, learning specialist for Sitel Academy-UCP.
Since the program launch, 52 participants graduated from the two training programs. They are being processed by the Sitel Baguio Recruitment Team for possible employment with the company.
There are two sessions ongoing at Ucab, Itogon and at Santa Escolastica Village, Baguio City.
The training programs are held in partnership with the local governments in Baguio City and Benguet and the Public Employment Services Offices and the Sangguniang Kabataan. – Press release
