A true-blue Cordilleran and his daughter have ventured into the accommodation facility with opening of a hotel along the historic Kennon Road to cater to the growing number of visitors in the Summer Capital.
Businessman Joseph Balabag, an engineer by profession, and his daughter, Jonalyn, were joined by relatives and friends to include Mayor Pablito Sanidad, Sr. of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur and his wife, Susan, in the soft launch of Skyworld Hotel on Feb. 8.
Renowned local hotelier, Peter Ng of Hotel Supreme, also graced the soft launch, as he wished the father and daughter tandem good luck especially in the year of the Wooden Dragon.
Skyworld Hotel, which has 84 rooms and 14 VIP suites, is located at Camp 7 fronting the Baguio City Police Office Station 8.
The hotel also has a wide function room that is ideal for various events ranging from wedding to convention and seminar with hundreds participants.
Operations Manager Lyn Ayaso said business operation will be in full scale next week, as the management is currently hiring additional personnel. For more particulars, one may personally visit Skyworld Hotel.
