A Saint Louis University student topped the January 2020 Architecture licensure examination.
Rhicel Gonzales Sapasap garnered an 84 percent passing rate leading all 1,242 board passers nationwide during the examinations conducted on Jan. 24 to 26 in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Legazpi, and Zamboanga.
SLU has an overall passing rate of 71.62 percent or 53 takers passed out of the 74 total examinees.
Joining her in the top 10 is Jenny Ngala Diwayan from University of Baguio who garnered 81.70 percent passing rate. UB was able to garner 71.43 percent overall passing rate or 10 passers out of 14 students that took the exams. 
On second spot is Megan Joyce Herrera Cruz of the University of the Philippines -Diliman with 83.20 percent rating and Denzel Lance Leon Dantis of Mapua University – Manila with 83.20 percent.
On third place is Karsten Arco Asuque of Adamson University with a rating of 83 percent followed by Austin Carl Sugui Equipaje of University of Santo Tomas with 82.90 percent and Charimae Dano Budiongan of University of San Carlos with 82.60 percent.
The last time SLU topped the architecture licensure exam was in 2017 with Jefferson Sabiano Ventura garnering 84.70 percent while fellow SLU student and also on top 10 spot, Levy Santos Canaleta placed sixth with 82.50 percent.
The PRC announced there are 1,242 passers out of 2,229 takers during the examination. The date and venue for the mass oathtaking of the successful examinees will be announced later by the PRC. – Ofelia C. Empian
