Three students from Baguio City landed in the top 10 of the recent licensure examination for medical technologist.
University of Baguio’s Ryal Anthony Caliboso Lauron and Saint Louis University’s Julius Ryan Riola Salmos both garnered 87.60 rating and placed fourth in the nationwide examination, which saw 1,921 passers out of 3, 251 examinees.
Another SLU alumnus, Aldous Rein Baldonado Nonog, was in top nine with 86.90 rating, sharing the spot with Giles Dumangeng of Saint Mary’s University and Melissa Seriña of Centro Escolar University-Manila.
SLU continues as the top performing school nationwide gaining a 98 percent passing rate or 246 out of 251 examinees passed while UB placed fourth with 90.37 percent passing rate or 122 passers out of 135 examinees.
Felix Jayson Vegella of Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation topped the exam with 91 percent rating followed by Rocelle Anne Leonardo of Far Eastern University-Manila and Clarice Anne Medrano of Emilio Aguinaldo College-Manila with 88.30 rating and Bernard Garcia Oledan Jr. of CEU-Makati with 87.70 rating.
The Professional Regulation Commission reported the registration for the issuance of professional identification card and certificate of registration will be done online at www.prc.gov.phfrom April 20 to May 14.
Registrants are required to present the following: downloaded duly accomplished oath form, notice of admission (for identification only), two pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps and one-piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the roster of registered professionals.
Those who failed to pass the board examination for medical technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70 percent can register as medical laboratory technicians.
In the January 2021 medical technology board exams, SLU topped with a passing rate of 100 percent having 139 passers.
