The Tabuk City Police Office in Kalinga has intercepted a parcel for shipment which turned out to contain P102,000 worth of shabu in Bulanao Norte.   
Based on the police report, law enforcers received a call from a driver that he found a suspected shabu while checking a package requested for shipment.
The team then proceeded to the area and found one big heat-sealed plastic transparent sachet containing the suspected shabu mixed with mongo beans. The sachet was wrapped with transparent cellophane and placed inside a blue eco bag. 
The recovered pieces of evidence are in the custody of Tabuk City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.
Kalinga Police Provincial Office Acting Director Col. Peter Tagtag, Jr. said they recognize the support and cooperation of citizens in reporting violations of laws.
In Benguet, five drug suspects were arrested in various sites during a series of anti-illegal drug operations of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera on Feb. 22.
The operations were conducted by the Benguet Provincial Police Office, Regional Investigation Division, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Cordillera.
A total of 7.79 grams of suspected shabu with standard drug price of P52,972 were seized during the operations.
Suspect Oliver Peng-as Ansibey, 33, was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in Buguias while suspects Dindo Apostol Galang, 46, and Cresilda Mabalo Babon, 59, were arrested in Tuba.
In La Trinidad, the police responded to a reported drug session leading to the arrest of Alfie Gaddi Abungan, 40, and Marlon Cunanan Manansala, 39.
All arrested suspects will be facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002. – Ofelia C. Empian
