TEKWAB — Municipal Indigenous People Mandatory Representative George Luis Fakat performed an indigenous offering called tekwab or tukab during the celebration of Bontoc’s 114th founding anniversary and 18th Am-among Festival on Sept.16 at the Bontoc Capitol grounds. He was assisted by Councilor Peter Kedawen. Tekwab is a ritual performed by opening a jar of wine, fayash or tapey and make an offering to Kabunian for his protection and blessings. — Jovi Lopez
