Many of the country’s top bowlers will see action in Baguio when the 11th Summer Capital Tenpin Bowling Association kicks off at the Puyat Bowling Lane at the Baguio Center Mall in March.
The event set March 17 to 22 will offer cash prizes up to P500,000 to the winners in different divisions, according to event co-organizer Nikko Jayson Go.
The event will also offer P10,000 as perfect game prize or P2,500 for every perfect game.
Around 150 players, including last year’s champion Kenneth Chua, are expected to troop back to the Summer Capital for the tournament that will have the mixed open masters, mixed graded masters, associated masters, mixed seniors’ masters, and mixed youth masters.
Last year, national team member Chua topped TBAM-Prima bet Tyronne Ongpauco, 194-167, in the finals with Philippine Youth member Kayle Abad landing in third.
Chua completed the 10-game elimination round with 2,341 pinfalls on an average of 234 pinfalls, or 26 pinfalls ahead of Ongpauco, who has 2,315.
Tan had a total of 2,297 pinfalls followed by Merwin Tan with 2,260; GJ Buyco with 2,259; Krizziah Tabora with 2,188; Alexis Sy with 2,183;  Nikko Go with 2,145; JB Vargas with 2,140; and Lorenz Tugade with 2,131.
Meanwhile, organizers also reported that the first runner-up in the masters will get P25,000 plus a trophy while the second and third runners-up will get P5,000 each.
The graded champion will receive P40,000 while the losing finalist will get P20,000. The second runner-up will get P10,000 while the rest of the top six players will also get cash prizes.
The winners in the associated and seniors’ divisions will get the same prizes as the winners in the graded category.
