Immunity as shield against Covid-19 infection
The Covid-19 keeps on infecting people throughout the world and hopes are pinned on a vaccine to stop the disease, but it takes years, if ever, to formulate a vaccine that is safe, effective, and has life-long effect against the infection.
Many people are suffering and instead of just waiting for a vaccine, the best and practical thing for us to do is to boost our immunity against the virus the natural way – for our body to be able to produce antigens which are protein and carbohydrate substances that stimulate the production of anti-bodies to build resistance, thus preventing the development of disease causing microorganisms.
It is worthwhile and sustainable to rely on proper nutrition to gain immunity in managing virus diseases.
Proteins build and generate body cells and tissues and are taken from meat, fish, eggs, milk, and legumes, while carbohydrates from cereals give energy. Supplementation with vitamins C and D, and zinc from fresh fruits and vegetables provide added resistance against viruses.
Extracts from coconut, chaste tree, and other plants with medicinal properties could be processed and used to protect the body from virus diseases.
Make it a habit to exercise regularly, to be always clean, and to be exposed daily to sunlight for even 15 minutes for the synthesis of vitamin D, which is essential for body resistance and to kill pathogens.
Our Creator provided us with everything to use to protect ourselves from any affliction.
