Have special election for congressman of Benguet
The appointment of the Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support party-list representative as legislative caretaker of Benguet after the demise of Rep. Nestor B. Fongwan, Sr. was unexpected.
What transpired will be a test of the strength of the political leadership of the province to persuade Congress to call for a special election to enable the people of Benguet to express their identity and capability to choose their representative – one who is credible and acquainted with the development opportunities of the locality and who has the nimbleness to get things done in a sustainable and responsible manner.
The socio-economic and environmental advantages of Benguet to look into are in the areas of temperate agriculture, mining, and forestry.
