I am posing this challenge to the honorable officials of Benguet, especially those seeking reelection or higher elective positions in the national and local elections next year.
With thousands of your constituents adversely affected by this pandemic, particularly those who have lost their sources of livelihood, are you ready and willing in your capacity as public servants to empathize with them? Then how?
By simply having a voluntary salary cut. The bigger the salary cut, the better for your suffering constituents. After all, you are practically doing nothing at this time.
