TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The operations efficiency and law enforcement credibility of the 1st Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company (KPMFC) is expected to be strengthened with the issuance of new short firearms and other accessories to its new personnel.
Police Lt/Col. Charles Domallig, 1st KPMFC OIC, said 20 9-mm Canik pistols, nine tactical vests, and 11 Kevlar helmets were recently issued to their personnel.
He advised them to use their issued firearms only during legitimate and authorized operations and to maintain them properly.
“Those using them indiscriminately will be dealt with accordingly. Do not display them or play on them, especially when you are drunk,” said Domallig, who is also the deputy provincial director for operations.
Last December, the 1st KMFC conducted an outreach program at the Naneng National High School Dupag Annex (Mosimos) through their best practice Kabadang, where distributed T-shirts and school supplies to 125 pupils; and oriented the students and teachers on love of country and patriotism, good citizenship, and what they can contribute in solving insurgency.
The 1st KPMFC recently received the Silver Eagle Award under the PNP Performance Governance System with their Kabadang best practice significantly contributing to their accomplishments. – Peter A. Balocnit
