Dozens of junior golfers in Baguio and rest of the country have signed up for the 2nd Fil-Am Invitational Junior Championship set in Baguio on June 18 to 21.

Camp John Hay Golf Club (CJHGC) General Manager and Executive Committee Co-chair Jude Eustaquio also announced that sponsors and presenters are welcome to support the tournament co-hosted by the Baguio Country Club.

The tournament is open for title sponsor, event presenter, major and minor sponsors.

Those who also want to support the cause to scout and develop potential young golfers in the highlands may also consider being hole-in-one or hole sponsors.

The first staging of the Fil-Am Invitational Junior Championship was in 2019 but its second staging was halted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The tournament will adopt the Molave point system during the 36-hole individual stroke play event.

All players will have their practice rounds on June 18 and 19 with a tree planting activity in both courses.

Registration fee is P1,000 for dependents or grandchildren of BCC and CJH members, including members of the Baguio Junior Golf Association.

Registration for all other jungolfers is P2,000 with deadline of payment on June 10.

The tournament will have the class A, B, C, D, and E in the Fil and Am categories.

Class A is for players 15 to 18 years old, B is for 13 to 14, C is for 11 to 12, D is for nine to 10; and E is for eight years old and below.

There will be designated tees for each classification.
