The Baguio City Police Office arrested 506 wanted persons with standing warrants of arrest in the city during the implementation of simultaneous law enforcement operations over the past six months.

BCPO Director, Col. Glen Lonogan reported of the arrested wanted persons, nine are regional level wanted individuals, 29 are city level wanted persons, four are provincial level wanted persons, eight are municipal level wanted persons, and 121 are station level wanted individuals.

A total of 335 other wanted persons were arrested and accounted for by the operating law enforcers.

Lonogan said the BCPO also conducted 119 anti-drug operations in the city during the first six months of the year.

He said 114 drug personalities were arrested and a total of P221.3723 grams of shabu, 921.04 grams of marijuana, and 585 ml. of marijuana oil with a total market value of P1,725,531.88 were confiscated.

Lonogan said 79 operations were conducted against loose firearms that led to the confiscation of four loose firearms while 75 assorted firearms were surrendered.

Four individuals were also arrested and subsequently charged for violation of the pertinent provisions of Republic Act 10591 or the Revised Firearms Law.

Enforcers apprehended 20 individuals during the conduct of four anti-gambling operations in the city and charged for violation of Presidential decree 1602 or the Anti-Gambling Law. Lonogan said 46,694 erring motorists were also apprehended that resulted in the payment of more than P20.2 million fines during the first six months of the year. – PIO release
