Baby and nosy neighbor
I have no intentions of getting married, but I want a baby that will come from my sperm. Is that legal? Can it be done? Will my age affect the quality of my sperm? I think the more important question is the woman who will bear my child more than all of my selfish questions. Are there such kinds of women in Baguio City?
Dolpo of Wagner Road, Baguio City
How I wish I could recommend you to my friends who have successfully fathered a child hereabouts. But my dear, the costs are exceedingly high and this is nothing new. How about looking for the willing woman instead because the insemination is easy, the best woman will be the hurdle. May I suggest that the screening of the woman be first and foremost on her genetic health profile? This must include: both parents should have no diabetes, no hypertension, no cancer, high IQ, tall, good looking, agile. Oops! That’s almost impossible. Narrow it down and then search.
Our nosy neighbor has been spreading the news that my daughter is pregnant. I want to confront her about this. I can’t tell you how annoying it is to hear about the details and she even knows when my daughter will have her baby. I asked my daughter and she denied it. Should I just go to the barangay hall and file a complaint?
Dwenna of Irisan, Baguio City
Sometimes, we might be surprised with the truth. Our daughter sometimes doesn’t have the strength to admit the truth. Start with her before you do anything outside the family. She might truly need someone to confide in. I hope it will be you.
