BDAP president Andrea Flores said the book fair will also give a chance for bookstores, publishers, and writers to earn. Like other sectors, she said publishers were also hard hit by the community quarantine when bookstores were ordered closed for being “non-essential,” and students who studied from home shifted to modules, instead of textbooks.
Another event to look forward to during the book fair is the announcement of winners of the Filipino Reader’s Choice Awards to be held at Mt. Cloud Bookshop and simultaneously livestreamed on the BDAP Facebook account.
In adherence to minimum health standards, those interested to attend the book fair are required to first register at the official Facebook account of the BDAP.  – Rimaliza A. Opiña
