Officials and residents from the 16 barangays of La Trinidad, Benguet once again gathered to celebrate one of the highlights of the Strawberry Festival, the street dance, drum and lyre, and float parade where participants paraded along the stretch of Km. 6 to the delight of residents and visitors on weekend.
Hailed as champion for the drum and lyre competition is Lubas Elementary School, followed by the La Trinidad Central School as first runner-up, and Puguis Elementary School as second runner-up.
The judges also lauded the “rising stars” of the competition: Buyagan Elementary School, Immaculate Heart of Mary School, and Pico Elementary School.
Meanwhile, Bineng led the top winners in valley of colors category with Beckel in second place and Bahong in third place. Lubas championed the pro-environment category followed by Poblacion, Shilan in third, and Puguis in fourth place during the event with the theme, “La Trinidad: The Strawberry Capital of the Philippines (Sirum ni Duting)”.
