NATONIN, Mountain Province – The buildings of the Department of Public Works and Highways-Mountain Province Second District Engineering Office (MPSDEO) were inaugurated recently at Barangay Saliok here.
Paracelis parish priest, Rev. Fr. Joe Requino, led the blessing of the buildings while Barlig parish priest, Rev. Andrew Claver, celebrated the thanksgiving mass.
DPWH-Cordillera Director Khadaffy Tanggol gave awards and recognition to the MPSDEO for its performance.
It was the late Mountain Province Rep. Maximo Dalog, Sr. that requested then Sec. Mark Villar for the agency to establish the MPSDEO to cater to the infrastructure concerns of the eastern towns of the province, namely Barlig, Natonin, and Paracelis.
Mountain Province Rep. Maximo Dalog, Jr., MPSDEO District Engineer Rustom Martinez, Barlig Mayor Clark Ngaya, Natonin Mayor Jose Agagon, and Paracelis Mayor Marcos Ayangwa attended the inauguration.
Provincial Admi-nistrator Jose Tombali who represented Gov. Bonifacio Lacwasan, Jr. and MPSDEO Asst. Engr. Rolando Matias were also present during the program. – Dionie Chungalan
