Team Lakay’s Jenelyn Olsim is set to return to the ONE circle when she faces Jihin Radzuan of Malaysia in the undercard of ONE: Bad Blood on Feb. 11 in Singapore.
Olsim has been wanting to see action since failing to advance to the ONE women’s atomweight world Grand Prix when she was defeated by Ritu Phogat of India who debuted late last year.
Fans are expecting a possible stand-up bout between Olsim and Radzuan, who was also a former wushu world champion like the former, who was also a bemedalled Muay Thai athlete before she switched to mixed martial arts.
Radzuan has a slight advance over Olsim in terms of professional fight experience with six wins and two losses. The fighter from Bokod, Benguet, on the other hand, has five wins and three losses.
The Malaysian fighter was previously defeated by two female Filipino fighters. She suffered a split decision loss to Gina Iniong in July 2019 then was routed by Denice Zamboanga via unanimous decision in December of the same year.
The last time Radzuan fought was in December 2020 where she emerged victorious via unanimous decision against Bi Nguyen.
Olsim, on the other hand, fought three times in 2021 and nailed two wins and one loss.
She defeated Maira Mazar via guillotine choke in February then outclassed Bi Nguyen via unanimous decision in July.
Her chance for a title fight was denied by Phogat, who won via unanimous decision in October. – Harley F. Palangchao
