Dear Manang,
I don’t know if people have noticed that there are so many scammers out there. Of course, we are partly to blame because we are pushed by some sense of getting rich quick instinct. There’s this new pyramiding scam with an application that should give a service for storage online. Sharing the application is all that is required. But it just takes the initial P500 that is needed and that’s all. When do we stop falling for that? There are so many other schemes online.
Bevs of San Luis, Baguio City

Dear Bevs,
We are overpowered by greed when we give in to the scammers. So long as we want to earn more money for the least amount, then they will always get our hard earned money. The only way it will end is when mankind loses that want to get more for nothing. You are the solution, stop looking for online deals and later end up donating money to them. The other way is to learn from “too good to be true” fast cash from downlines.
Be discerning,
Manang

Dear Manang,
I need to take care of my aging father because I am the only son. I know nothing about caregiving and it is not in my character to be caring and patient. I have been advised to arrange for him to stay at a senior care home. I have a big house and don’t want to send him to another place. What can I do?
Geri of Taloy Norte, Tuba, Benguet

Dear Geri,
You are unusual. Most children would easily pay for the retirement home and not bother. The best way is to hire someone to do the work, then you can concentrate on quality time with him. You can just sit and play chess or bring him out to the park or drive somewhere. Caregiving is not for everyone. If you can’t afford full time caregivers or nurses, hire them for the tasks that you don’t want to do.
Make quality time with him,
Manang
