Immunity and transparency

For the past few weeks, I have been reading the Courier’s “Your Medical Corner” and it has encouraged me to research for more information about the topics discussed.
Many scientists who have studied the trial data made public by the Covid-19 vaccine manufacturers suggest these vaccines were specifically made to lessen the severe symptoms of Covid infection.
A representative of the World Health Organization has admitted there is no evidence that the currently available Covid-19 vaccines prevent transmission of the infection. However, this is not meant to discourage people from being vaccinated – it is meant to inform people of this particular fact once the vaccine rollout is here.
On the RT-PCR testing, can the government and our local testing facilities share to the public the “cycle threshold” they are using in the RT-PCR testing?
Why is this cycle threshold (or the number of amplifications done) important? Apparently, people tested with a high enough number of cycles will turn out positive of the infection.
According to American physician-scientist and immunologist Anthony Faucci, even a 35-cycle test gives out a high false positive rate. Also, any RT-PCR test done with 40 cycles or above will guarantee a positive result more than 85 percent of the time. — HONORARY PROF. CHATNOIR, Baguio City
