We need more KADIWA stores
This is in reference to an article titled, “DA, MMC eye more Kadiwa stores” published in the June 25, 2023 issue of the Philippine Star.
I live at Purok Magsaysay, Loakan Proper, Baguio City.
When I returned from vacation, there is a new store in my neighborhood and it was the first time I saw it.
What caught my eye is a sign that says “kadiwa” concept. I wondered what it meant so I Googled it and the translation was “genius”.
A week or so later, I got to know the owner of the store, Ronald G. Morla. He is a friendly man. He explained to me what kadiwa means but being hearing impaired, I was not sure what I heard.
Now, I know what kadiwa means because of the report. This means Ronald’s store could be the only one in Baguio that is selling in the spirit of kadiwa. I have not seen any other store in Baguio with such a sign. — PETER CHONG, Baguio City
