An open letter to the President

This is about the loan of the local government of Sabangan, Mountain Province with the Landbank-Tabuk City branch.
We deem the agreement improper, fraudulent, and illegal.
Despite the letters, complaints, and pieces of evidence submitted to the concerned parties, they still proceeded to deceive the people.
Sadder, Mr. President, the parties of this assailed loan started to demolish the municipal building last week without any document from the Commission on Audit declaring the buildings unsafe for occupancy, hence must be demolished.
We wrote Philippine National Police Director General Guillermo Eleazar invoking the agency’s newly organized project with the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission “Kasangga: Aksyon Kontra Korapsyon”, which was furnished to the concerned police offices with high hopes that the municipal building of Sabangan, will be saved from destruction.
We hope PNP Sabangan will enter in its blotter the damages done and the missing parts of the building. The police know the building by heart because the PNP building is adjacent to the damaged structure.
We also wrote Interior and Local Government Sec. Eduardo Año hoping his office through concerned regional and provincial offices will intervene to save the municipal building from demolition.
The actions of officials of Sabangan are for the destruction of government properties with grave abuse of authority, which are punishable by law.
The silent majority of the people of Sabangan are afraid of the parties involved in the loan agreement.
In this time of pandemic, funds should not be wasted on projects without good impact on the people. — JUNIPER DOMINGUEZ and RICHARD BUDOD, Sabangan, Mountain Province
