Visiting national amateur golfer Luigi Paolo Wong led the overall champions in the 20th edition of the Nanoy Ilusorio Cup held at the Baguio Country Club on weekend.
The 18-year-old Wong, who is currently pursuing his studies and golf career in the United States, scored a one-under par 61 to win all the men’s divisions.
Wong likewise won the longest drive award for firing 311 yards at hole three.
Mar Bustos topped the senior’s divisions with a six over under par 61 while Melissa Gozum had a gross of 80 to win all ladies divisions.
Bustos also emerged as the champion of the BCC club roster by winning the seniors while Nora Sy won the ladies with Ely Lagman and Jun Bantales winning the men’s A and B, respectively.
Lagman also topped the member’s men A followed by Pol Mayos and Bogs Abubo. Mayos also netted a hole-in-one at the tricky hole 13 while Lagman took the nearest to the pin plum.
In a case of a father following his son’s footsteps, Danny Wong topped the member’s men’s B followed by Joey Ancheta and Bayani Tecson.
Juanito Butche topped the member’s class C followed by Eddie Fianza and Charles Baguilat while Paraiso Bautista won the men’s C followed by Pyke Limpin and John Ray Libiran.
Bautista also won the most accurate drive special award.
Perennial winner Goody Ignacio won the member’s senior’s A followed by Morris Domogan and Ed Basbas while Reggie Gamboa topped the senior’s B followed by Bong Tabora and Rommel Latinazo.
The senior’s C championship trophy went to Bong Leal followed by Fernando Imperial and Willy Tacayan.
The champions in the ladies’ divisions are Farah Imperial for class A, Rachele Julian for class B, and Nida Whybrow for class C.
The champions in the dependent’s division are Franchesca Imperial for class A, Iya Fianza for class B and Euan Fianza for class C.
The top winners in the guest’s divisions are Pat Eswag for class A, Billy Pahanel for class B and Rudy Diaz for class C.
