Aspiring bowlers in the Cordillera may sign up for Baguio’s 1st Youth Bowling Program with seasoned bowlers as mentors.

Registration for the program started on June 26 and closes on July 28 for the first 30 slots.

The first session starts at 10 a.m. on July 29 at Puyat Sports at the Baguio Center Mall.

Organizer Nikko Jayson Go said the program will have two weekly activities with one training session per week.

Go added there will be one competition weekly to monitor the progress of students aged six to 17 years old.

“The program allows the students to learn how bowling can help a child build self-confidence not only in sports, but also in other aspect of life,” said Go, an accomplished bowler himself.

Go added the program also opens an opportunity for competitive students to earn a college scholarship to bow in the United States and other parts of the world.

The program is powered by Summer Capital Tenpin Bowling Association, Puyat Sports, city government of Baguio and Sonic Bowl.
