Fifty couples joined the “I do, I do araw ng pag-ibig,” a free wedding ceremony on Valentine’s Day, sponsored by the Pag-Ibig Fund in partnership with the city government of Baguio.
The event was held at the Rose Garden in Burnham Park with Mayor Benjamin Magalong officiating the ceremony.
The mayor advised the couples to love each other every day, for better or for worse, as marriage is a lifetime commitment.
Pag-Ibig provided the wedding amenities including the symbolic cake, ring, arrhae or unity coins, bouquet, headdress, veil and cord, food, and bridal car.
The mass wedding is a way of helping couples formalize their marriage and is Pag-Ibig Fund’s way of showing that it is not only a savings institution and provider of housing finance, but is also a supporter in building happy families.
