The City Social Welfare and Development Office will push through with only four of the 18 activities it lined up for the Women’s Month celebration, limiting the events only to those with few participants.
Social Welfare Officer I Dolores Busacay said the toned down events and cancelation of the other activities were due to the risk of the coronavirus disease-2019 (Covid-19).
She said the activities that will push through are the forum for the role and participation of women on creative city programs March 18, and the free pap smear from March 1 until March 31.
Busacay said they will continue with the events as they have limited participants compared to the other events which are open to the public and expects a large number of participants.
She added the other activities that will push through have a manageable number of participants where information campaigns will be done. – PNA with reports from Jephryll Jallen Epler
