Baguio is blessed and proud to have sons and daughters who possess the Filipino traits and qualities needed in this rapidly changing society.
The Society of Outstanding Citizens of Baguio (Socob) headed by its president Elma Donaal through the 2022 search committee chaired by Dona Digna Rosario did a remarkable job in choosing this year’s outstanding citizens, who will be honored during the 113th Charter Day celebration on Sept. 1 at the Baguio Convention Center.
The honorees are: Army Lt/Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., Baguio Regional Trial Court Judge Mia Joy C. Cawed, and Dr. Raymundo R. Rovillos for professional service; civic-minded photographer Rodolfo “Ompong” Tan, registered nurse Ricky B. Ducas, and Marybeth Yu So for community service; and Ferdinand John L. Balanag and Arch. Dulthe Carlo Munar for culture and the arts.
